Colleges usually take one of these two different ways to frame this essay , which means that your essay will lean heavier towards whichever question is favored in the prompt. So if the prompt is all about "why us?", you'll focus more on waxing rhapsodic about the school. If the prompt instead is mostly configured as "why you?", you'll dwell at length on your fit and potential.

I want to say thank you, first off for providing such a service. It was difficult having to write a personal statement and then have others critique it, when there is not a clear rubric to follow. I think having to write a personal statement is such an emotional process, and then having others edit it, can be a very harsh pill to swallow. Thank you for your edits, I have no doubt that this process will make my personal statement more compelling and hopefully a more competitive applicant.
I am very happy with your service and would highly recommend it to any PA applicant. Duke helped me to put my thoughts in order and to make significant changes. My personal statement sounds great and seems easy and interesting to read now. He took a lot of time to explain his way of thinking and to understand what I am trying to say. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate what you are doing for others.
I must say, I originally thought I had a fairly strong statement. But after reading Sue 8767 s comments/revision. The quality, structure, and overall flow of my statement was in fact leaps and bounds better than my original.
Even at the busiest time of the year for applications, they got me my edit in a matter of days. They did a great job with grammar, punctuation and suggestions. I am very satisfied with the draft I got back from Sue.
To thine own self be true. Write in your own voice and be sincere about what you’re saying. Believe me, the reader can tell when you mean it and when you’re just blathering.
Hi, great resource, thank you.
Should the Seton Hall listing be Seton Hill as it lists the university is in PA?
Can you confirm that both Seton HALL and Seton HILL are accredited PA programs for freshman entry.
I 8767 d like to say Westminster College also offers a 8-8 program with Duquesne University. It 8767 s three years of biology sciences at Westminster and then three years at Duquesne.
Hi Connie, there are several iterations of this such as the 8 +8 programs. But generally, it is a program you must apply 8775 into 8776 and is composed of 8 years of undergrad with preparation and placement into a PA program upon completion of the required coursework and prerequisites. Followed by 7-8 years of graduate school work to get your MSPA degree. If you click on the school links in the above table you can read about the program offerings along with each school 8767 s requirements.
The comments and edits made by Sue are exceptional! They 8767 ve helped a lot in terms of helping me express my thoughts more clearly and effectively. It felt as if she was there with me, reading my thoughts and helping me with the entire process in person!
I greatly appreciate the help because it answered questions and doubts I had about my personal statement. I feel much more confident in submitting to CASPA. Thank you very much, Sue!

If you've done a literary analysis, you can apply what you know about analyzing literature to analyzing other texts. You will want to consider what is effective and ineffective. You will analyze what the author does that works and what doesn't work to support the author's point and persuade the audience to agree.
